Bentley OpenUtilities CONNECT Edition Help

Information Viewer

The large area that occupies most of the program window is the Information Viewer, which displays the contents of the open folder in tabular form. Each folder has a corresponding view that provides menus and toolbars specific to the tasks that you may need to perform while working in that folder.

Clicking a folder in the Folder List (or an icon in the Shortcut Bar) displays one of the following views:
  • Workplace Today-an organized view of your current work. This view is displayed when you first open Workflow Manager. For more information, see Using Workplace Today.
  • My Work-a view of all your work requests in the My Work folder. For more information, see Viewing a List of Your Work Requests.
  • My Designs-a view of all your designs in the My Designs folder. For more information, see Viewing a List of Your Designs.
  • Units-a view of the public compatible units in the Units folder that are available for your design work as well as your private units. For more information, see Viewing a List of Available Macro Units and Compatible Units.
Note: Only applies to Bentley OpenUtilities Designer and Bentley OpenUtilities Workflow Manager.
  • Materials-a view of the public materials in the Materials folder as well as your private materials. For more information, see Viewing a List of Available Materials.
Note: Only applies to Bentley OpenUtilities Designer and Bentley OpenUtilities Workflow Manager.
  • Custom Costs-a view of the public custom costs in the Custom Costs folder, along with any private custom costs that you have created. For more information, see Viewing a List of Available Custom Costs.
Note: Only applies to Bentley OpenUtilities Designer and Bentley OpenUtilities Workflow Manager.
  • Job Defaults-a view of the public job defaults in the Job Defaults folder and any private job defaults you have created. For more information, see Viewing a List of Available Job Defaults.
Note: Only applies to Bentley OpenUtilities Designer and Bentley OpenUtilities Workflow Manager.

Each view summarizes the major properties of the items shown. Since the views are dynamic, they are updated to reflect any changes in an item's status, cost, or other properties. You can organize the information in the lists in various ways (see Customizing the Information Viewer).

By using the Print command on the File menu, you can print the information displayed in the Information Viewer (see Printing in Workflow Manager).
